    Chairman/Equipment/Deputy appointed councillor to southern region

    The Chairman is the elected figure head of the DA. This person runs the committee meetings and is normally engaged by all members of the DA for any issues.

    Equipment Officer:
    The Equipment Officer Manages and looks after the DA’s Assets, for use by the Committee at events run by the DA for the members.

    The Vice Chairperson supports the Chairman in their role and looks to take over the Chairman’s position in the future through on going mentoring and guidance

    The secretary takes the minutes of the meetings and interfaces with our Head Office on club policies, notifications etc. The Secretary acts as a single point of contact for any correspondence to and from the committee, the Region, the members and the Club HQ

    Treasurer /Appointed Councillor to Southern Region

    (Executive)

    The Treasurer looks after the financial accounting of the DA. They collect and make payments on behalf of the DA. They report to the committee on the financial performance of the DA, assist in financial planning, and report to the members at our AGM on the overall financial position of the DA.

    Sites Co-ordinator

    The sites officer arranges venues for us to camp. This involves site surveys, liaising with farmers and camp owners, working closely with our stewards, and creating a varied list of sites to meet the needs of the members.

    The Social Event Co-ordinatior works with a team of volunteers to organise and run social events for the members to attend.

    Typically one of the committee members holds this position as a dual role. They manage and provide updates to Waterside DA’s website for information to the members.

    The Auditor provides financial year audits of Waterside DA accounts to ensure all governance is followed. This post is elected at the AGM and cannot be a person related directly to any member of the serving committee

Help required

Your committee have worked hard the past year putting on meets for you to enjoy your camping, which they enjoy doing this for you and have received feedback from you saying thank you. your AGM will be coming up soon in March and we would like any feedback from you as to sites or what you would like us to do in the future, so please come along and support your Committee and DA.
